Strategic Partnership Program

Splash into Environmental Science: Foundation to VCE Resources and Programs’ is MMF’s innovative education project as a part of the Victorian State Government Department of Education Strategic Partnership Program (SPP) for 2026 and 2027. Through our project, we will deliver over 50 classroom incursions to students in State Government primary and secondary schools across Victoria, and develop a range of resources to enhance Science and Sustainability education. Excitingly, in partnership with Emerging Sciences Victoria, we will develop a 15-week Environmental and Marine Science online course.

What is the Strategic Partnership Program?

The aim of the SPP is to support curriculum enrichment and enhancement programs that improve student achievement across Victorian curriculum and/or teacher capacity. SPP funded programs will provide opportunities that are not usually available in mainstream classrooms or professional development settings and enrich the learning experience of Victorian students.

Our project aims to provide equitable access to real-world science and sustainability education, specifically targeting disadvantaged and low socio-economic schools, students, and communities for participation in our education programs. Many regional and rural schools do not have access to such programs, and through our project, we will engage students across the state to inspire the next generation of scientists, conservationists and change-makers through our range of hands-on and inquiry-based learning opportunities.

Participation in our ‘Splash into Environmental Science: Foundation to VCE Resources and Programs’ project is open to all Victorian Government State schools. To have your students or school involved in the program, or to learn more, please complete the below inquiry form.
